The Spokane Regional Health District implemented a Tablet PC solution for filling out food inspection reports using Active Ink Software. The amount of time required to perform a food inspection has decreased by over 50% since the District switched to the Tablet PC solution.

GottaBeMobile.com and Motion Computing sponsored a contest called “Make Me Mobile with Motion,” and announced the winner on October 30, 2006. Contestants submitted essays 800 to 1000 words in length about how their professional and personal lives would be affected by an Ultra-Mobile device like the LS800. Judges from GottaBeMobile.com and Motion Computing picked their favorite five, and then the forum members from GottaBeMobile.com voted on their favorite from the finalists. The winner received an LS800 Tablet PC valued at over $2220, and the other four finalists each received a license to MindJet’s MindManager, valued at $349. |
